This is my 35th year of teaching music, and I love it even more now than when I began! I graduated from Luther College in 1981 with majors in Music and French, and minors in English, Religion, and Scandinavian Studies. In the summer, I live on Washington Island, where I teach Scandinavian folk dancing, direct a children’s music camp, and work with a young man with autism as his lead therapist. In my spare time, I enjoy choreographing musicals, singing in choir, reading, and any kind of water sport, and spending time with my family and friends. I love to cook and bake, and have a golden retriever and two cats. My husband teaches at Gateway Tech, and my two children, Ben and Elizabeth, are finishing up their college degrees. I believe you never stop learning, and there is always something wonderful and exciting to discover. Someday, I’d like to have sheep and learn to spin and weave.
