Hi! I’m Teacher Nancy (Nancy Lembke-Windler). I am passionate that students with special education needs and students in general education should learn together in inclusive classrooms. I have been working toward this goal my entire teaching career. I am excited that this is my second year of teaming up with Tracy Boscher, general education teacher, and Jane Moddes, special education assistant, to create a preschool inclusive classroom that brings out the best in each student. Our curriculum is play-based, because children learn through play. Our classroom is a busy, fun place where students learn and explore and make friends at their own pace. I have been preparing for this dream since my first volunteer job as a camp counselor at Camp Wil-O-Way way back in 1965. I became a Registered Occupational Therapist in 1973 and received my certification to teach special education and regular education grades preschool through kindergarten in 1992. I received a Master’s Degree in 2003. A lot of my continuing education has focused on children with autism. I love data and building a relationship with my students and their families. My favorite week is when my family rents cabins in the north woods, and my three children and four grandkids are together, nurturing relationships and making memories.
