Mrs. Myrum

I am currently in my fourth year of public school teaching. I actually received my BS in Music Education, in 1997 from Messiah College, a private Christian College of the liberal arts and applied arts and sciences, located in Mechanicsburg, PA. After I graduated, my husband and I moved to Montana! While we lived there, I taught kdg-8thgrade general music and choir at a small private school for about 2 years. After our son was born however, and we had moved here to WI, I decided it was time to switch careers to “stay at home mommy!” While home, I did keep the music flowing, by having a small studio out of my home to teach private voice lessons. I was fortunate enough to be at home with our (now) three kids until my youngest entered 3rd grade. At that point I decided it was time to be back in the classroom! I have thoroughly enjoyed this next stage of life. Being at two different schools (Forest Park and Jefferson), throughout the week to teach music, has been very rewarding. It’s not as crazy as it sounds! I have the opportunity to teach so many kids, and watch them grow in their knowledge and maturity. I get to know ALL of the students-not just one class! Now, I’m just looking forward to what the future brings my way!
