It has been my pleasure working in education since 1990. My degrees include a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with an early childhood emphasis. In 2006, I received my Master of Science in Teacher Leadership from Carthage College. I have been teaching kindergarten for 22 years with 20 of them at Forest Park Elementary School. I was a Reading Recovery Advocate (tutor) for first graders for seven years here at Forest Park. In addition, I was a math tutor for first and second graders for many years after school. I served as a cultural competency facilitator for four years. I was a Site Based Action Team member for a couple of years. In addition, I served on the Math Committee for the past two years. Also, for the past two years, I have been on the PBIS committee. Outside of school, for the past nine years, I have been a fundraiser for my son’s elementary school serving as the auction chair and serving on the Education Board. Additionally, I am the Secretary of the Westosha Booster Club at Central High School. For fun, I enjoy watching my three son’s play basketball and baseball while my husband coaches them. Forest Park is a wonderful school with excellent teachers and staff. It is a pleasure working here with the parents, students and staff of Forest Park.
