Greetings and welcome to my Professional Portfolio. The organization of this portfolio is a little different in that I am including it in the website that I am developing for my elementary school library. The website itself is a reflection of me and my teaching philosophy.

My Teaching Philosophy
My approach to teaching is constructivist in nature. I truly believe that the process of gathering information is just as important as the information itself. We should help our students develop the tools needed to construct meaning from information and not just memorize it. Students should be challenged with problem-solving activities that incorporate real-life problems.
